Hello! Welcome to WRI3020: Writing Tutor Training!
Please take a moment to poke around this website as it will be our home base for all class-related information this semester. The schedule of homework and class content, all assignment guidelines, and all in-class activity information will be consistently updated here. This site is also where all of your tutoring journals and reading responses should be posted. All other assignments should be submitted via a Google Drive folder that you share with me.
Everyone in this class was recommended by one or more faculty members as strong students with good potential for being a successful tutor. This means that you’ve been identified by someone who not only takes their education seriously and who exceeds expectations in your courses, but also as a person who is a good collaborator and who shows empathy to your fellow students. I feel incredibly lucky to work with a talented and kind group of students in the Writing Collaboratory, and that feeling extends to being able to have all of you in class. I’m excited that some of you may become part of our writing center community here at Centenary, and can’t wait to work with all of you in class!
